Peter Zeeuw
In 1996 I graduated from the University Of Amsterdam where I had studied International Business. To see the world, I ventured out on a 3 year trip and lived for shorter periods in Sydney, Montreal and Santiago de Chile. Trying to be mature after this trip, I thought I needed to settle down, found a job in the film industry in Amsterdam and worked there for 4 years. Being too restless to fit in the over-organized Dutch culture, I decided to move to South Africa. Together with Leen we started Manolo restaurant in 2003 and opened Boutique Manolo in 2007. My greatest passions are the African continent, working with people and travelling. I started More of Africa in 2010 offering also selective specials deals to our clients, through our South Africa tour packages.
Leen Filius (Director & Co-Founder) and I met in Amsterdam in 2001. Leen had been working in the financial industry in London and Amsterdam, was in charge of a large investment company and started to look out for other challenges. Leen loves design and restaurants. Manolo restaurant was born in 2003, completely decorated by Leen and was the first hip, chic fine dining place in South Africa. In 2007 Leen could tick off "having a restaurant" from his to-do list and he started to decorate our boutique hotel Boutique Manolo. We are now running a Boutique Manolo in Cape Town. Leen’s passions are cooking, travelling and interior design.
We both love the African continent and have therefore hands on experience with all our services and South Africa tour packages we recommend to our clients. With our personal knowledge and experience, we will make sure you will get the perfect itinerary that you had in your mind.
